Chisago County OKs joint powers agreements with Minnesota BCA for criminal-justice data access

The Chisago County Board adopted Resolution No. 26/0506-3 to enter into joint powers agreements with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), enabling the county’s Community Corrections Office and County Attorney’s Office to access state criminal justice data and tools for a five-year period. The resolution authorizes the county to add, modify and delete connectivity and obligates the county to pay network connection costs.
The resolution designates Mark Hendrickson (Director) or his successor as the Authorized Representative for the Community Corrections Office and County Attorney Janet Reiter (or her successor) as Authorized Representative for the County Attorney. Chair Rick Greene and County Administrator Chase Burnham were authorized to sign the agreements. The motion carried unanimously.
