During review of several finance transfers, selectmen discovered an agenda labeling error: item 8 listed a $3,000 transfer that staff and members said should be $25,000 to cover expenses related to an employee complaint filed with the Connecticut Department of Labor. Kim Allen clarified the agenda lines were reversed and explained the $25,000 figure represents expected additional fees and retiree reimbursements in June.
Kim Allen corrected the record: "Where it says with the state of Connecticut Department of Labor, that is incorrect," she said in the discussion as the board worked through the numbering errors. After a friendly amendment to change the $3,000 figure to $25,000 the board approved the modified motion; one member said they would abstain from that vote without knowing personnel details and the board recorded one abstention.
