Assessor says EagleView imagery contract limits bulk use; surveyor request to be denied

Assessor Brandi Schmidt reviewed the county's contract terms with EagleView for aerial photography and told the board the imagery is limited in how it may be used. "The delivered content may only be used to produce hard copies of individual properties or structures and may not be used for bulk orders. Additionally, the content may not be reproduced, distributed, or offered for commercial resale in any medium," Schmidt said. She said she will inform the surveyor who requested access to the database that the county will deny the request because of those license restrictions.
The board did not direct a change in licensing or authorize a waiver; Schmidt presented the terms as written in the current contract and indicated the county intends to enforce those restrictions when responding to third-party requests.
