Chattahoochee Hills approves RightSight EMS partnership to reduce unnecessary ambulance transports

The Chattahoochee Hills City Council voted unanimously to approve agenda item 24‑070, a partnership agreement with RightSight, a service designed to provide telehealth triage and patient navigation alongside Fire/EMS responses.
Fire Chief Brett described the program's operation: when someone calls 911 and Chattahoochee Hills Fire/EMS responds, the RightSight system enables a virtual connection to a physician and a patient navigator to help determine if an ambulance transport is necessary. "For the individual who makes the 911 call and Shadow Chills fire and EMS responds, We get there. You do not need to make a an ambulance trip. EMS personnel can assist with a phone call or a virtual, video call and connect you with a physician at your home physician, and a patient navigator takes over your care right then and there," Chief Brett said. He added the partnership bears no expense for the city.
Council members noted the potential to reduce unnecessary transports and improve ambulance availability for critical incidents. Chief Brett estimated the service would begin around Feb. 1, 2025. The council adopted the agreement by voice vote under item 24‑070.
