Diane, the city clerk, explained the application involves a change in ownership and that the location already held a license under the previous owner. The applicant, who identified himself as Mr. Tajani, told the council he expects to take over on Jan. 1 and said he intends to serve the local community. "I will be a new owner. I will be like, to join the community around here and serve our community," he said.
The council waived a longer public hearing because the use and location remain the same and members said there were no objections. Mayor called for a motion and the vote was taken by voice; the motion carried unanimously. The council welcomed the new licensee to the community and moved on to other agenda items.
The approval authorizes retail package sales of wine and malt beverages for off‑premises consumption at the stated address and is recorded in agenda item 24‑064.
