Mr. Esselin told the board the district is "in very, very good shape" with its solar installations and that several campuses have received permission to operate. "Tomorrow is April 15. That is the deadline for permission to operate for the solar panel. So I am I am thrilled to say that we have permission to operate at Baldwin Stocker, Camino Grove, Highland Oaks, Holly Avenue, Longley Way, 1st Ave, and the Maintenance Yard," he said.
Staff reported Edison granted extensions until mid‑October for the District Office, Dana and Foothills because of battery-related delays. They also said the high school and Hugo Reed arrays were intentionally sized for on-site use and not for exporting credits under NEM 2.0 and are planned for completion during the summer months.
The board asked technical and security questions about site readiness during the facilities Q&A; staff confirmed some installations remain on tight timelines but indicated expected completion and permission-to-operate confirmations by fall.
