The Floyd County Conservation Board reported that the deed for Castor Falls Conservation Area has been signed and officially filed. Board member Roy Schwickerath, previously authorized to act as the board representative on the transaction, completed the filing and paperwork to move the project forward.
County attorney Todd Pritchard reviewed a draft of proposed county conservation ordinances and recommended presenting the draft to the Board of Supervisors for formal approval so conservation staff can issue citations under a resolution; he also suggested adding a schedule of fines. After discussion, Roy Schwickerath moved to request Board of Supervisors approval of the ordinances; Jesse Frerichs seconded and the motion carried 5-0.
