Le Sueur County Engineer Dave Tiegs presented a multi-part transportation update on March 24, saying the county’s 2026 sealcoat and striping program and related resurfacing work will total "Approximately 9.5 million." Tiegs outlined specific county projects and timelines, including CSAH 2 (about 5.5 miles from Cleveland to CSAH 11) and CSAH 7 (about 4.5 miles), with 16 miles of sealcoating and striping across roughly 140 miles in the southern half of the county.
Tiegs also listed other county and state projects and key dates: a CR 117 bridge project in Le Sueur with a letting date to be set, CSAH 46/47 reconstruction in the City of Cleveland with a city bid letting April 22 and an open house March 31, and multiple MNDOT timelines for state highways. He noted MNDOT’s construction on Hwy 22 from Mankato to St. Peter, a June 1 start for the 13/99 roundabout project with completion expected in September, and additional MNDOT projects scheduled through 2034. The presentation sets the schedule for county procurement: the county bid letting for the CSAH 2/CSAH 7 seal coats and striping is scheduled for April 14 at 1 p.m.
