The board took several formal actions during the meeting, including ratifying contracts, approving a personnel contract, adopting budget amendments, authorizing a parks land-acquisition settlement and ratifying collective-bargaining agreements following closed sessions.
Key actions included: ratification of post-execution contracts for the period 12/12/2025 to 01/20/2026; approval of an employment agreement for the deputy county administrator (staff said the contract mirrors prior terms); approval of FY2025 and FY2026 budget adjustments; and authorization for Parks Director Jason Shamblin to enter into a land-acquisition and settlement agreement conditioned on corporate counsel and county administrator approval. The board also ratified an AFSCME collective bargaining agreement with Public Health and approved an extension of the AFSCME contract for CMH of Ottawa County after closed-session negotiations.
Each item passed on roll call. Staff noted the need to include a FY2025 amendment in one motion and said budget adjustments and contract details are included in the meeting packet.
