Winhall awards South Road retaining wall and other highway contracts

Line striping was awarded to K5 Corp at $18,500 over L&D’s $20,550 bid. Winter sand was awarded to Pike Industries at $24.52 per cubic yard, and gravel was awarded to Hunter Excavating at $25.00 per cubic yard stockpiled (or $28.00 per cubic yard for delivery).
Selectboard member Bill Schwartz moved the awards; Julie Isaacs seconded, and the board voted unanimously to approve the contracts. Trevor Dryden noted that road-closure signage on Old Town Road had been effective in warning traffic during works.
