Chief Tienken provided the Selectboard with the police department’s May report, documenting traffic tickets and warnings, vehicle accidents, property watches, alarms, animal-control responses and medical and agency assists across Winhall and Stratton Mountain Resort. "Officer Haven Tatarek to start work Monday," the report noted, and the department submitted May arrest details to the board.
Tienken also described grant-funded public-safety efforts, including the "Buckle Up Campaign," and participation in Special Olympics events. The presentation was informational; no formal action was taken. The Selectboard entered executive session later in the meeting to discuss police personnel matters and returned to public session without announcing any decisions.
