Planning Director Tracy Bodeo outlined a range of possible parking changes for Park Avenue along Bandstand Park, between Maple Street and Main Street, as the Town of Lyndon seeks additional short-term spaces for events and nearby businesses. Options discussed included adding parallel or angled parking, installing granite curbing along the park side of Park Avenue, or converting the road to one-way traffic. Commissioners estimated different scenarios could add about 6–12 parking spaces, depending on layout and curb work.
Commissioners expressed concern that curb and striping changes alone might not fully address parking problems for Depot Street businesses, and they asked staff to prepare cost and feasibility information. The commission agreed to continue researching improvements for on-street parking and to evaluate nearby alternatives, including the Diamond parking area, as a potential option to serve businesses on Depot Street.
