A presenter representing Arc of Buffalo County thanked employers — named in the meeting as Doughie Towing, Apple Market and Hy-Vee — and said accommodations and inclusive hiring "help people be successful because having a job is more than a paycheck. It's a community and a sense of purpose."
Council members offered brief remarks thanking Arc volunteers and local employer partners for their long-term support of inclusive employment and community events tied to the park and other local amenities.
