Council approves rezoning, final plat for Butler 2nd Subdivision

Craig Bennett, representing Butler Machinery, described proposed Butler 2nd Subdivision and asked the council to rezone about 6.32 acres from Agricultural to Business Park zoning and approve a one‑lot final plat. Bennett said water and sanitary sewer mains are available to the site, on‑site detention will be required and the site is outside the FEMA 1% annual floodplain.
The planning commission recommended approval. A council member moved to close the public hearing, suspend the three‑reading rule and place Ordinance 87‑65 on final passage; the motion passed and Ordinance 87‑65 was adopted. The council also adopted Resolution 2025‑118 approving the final plat and subdivision agreement for Butler 2nd Subdivision.
