Summary

Staff member Diane reported the county's Go North pre‑application portal entry shows the pre‑application as approved, but the underlying application remains in submitted status; she has asked Strafford Regional Planning and the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) for clarification.
"I received an email this morning that our pre application for the Go North was approved," Diane said, adding she had gone into the portal to confirm the status and had reached out to staff for next steps. Commissioners reiterated that the pre‑application stage may only establish project eligibility and that a full application and additional documentation may still be required.
Commissioners discussed that the state carved $20 million from a larger $100 million pool to allocate directly to county nursing homes and that the county's request is in the range of $2.1 million for renovations. Staff said projects are shovel‑ready and ready to go out to bid if the award is confirmed and that additional data can be appended to the application if requested. County staff agreed to notify the board when the CDFA provides clarity and to bring the item back to the agenda if further action is required.
