The Kay County Excise Board voted unanimously April 13 to approve a Cash Fund Estimate of Needs and Request for Appropriations that includes $1,032,676.51 for the Highway fund. Christy Kennedy moved the measure and Rod Reese seconded; all three members—Chairman Jeff Wilson, Vice‑Chairman Rod Reese and Member Christy Kennedy—voted aye.
The approved list includes District 1 $139,427.44, District 2 $756,244.44, District 3 $137,004.63, Use Tax $547,801.39 (with specified internal breakouts), County Sales Tax (JFA) $334,616.93, Bond‑ST (PBA) $125,418.64, Rural Fire ST $130,672.61, and several smaller funds and settlements such as ARPA, Opioid Settlement, Juuls E Cig Settlement and KCJFA loan reimbursements. The board did not amend amounts during the meeting.
