Tyler Florence, Director of Parks and Recreation, requested board approval to add one (1.0) FTE Natural Resources Coordinator (Grade 7), proposed to be hired May 1, 2026 and included in the FY27 budget. Florence and Commissioner Administrator Jodie Pond answered the board’s questions before the item moved to a vote.
Commissioner Luther Propst moved to approve adding the FTE and the new position classification; Commissioner Len Carlman seconded. The motion carried with all in favor. The position will be advertised and staffed according to county HR procedures and included in the next fiscal year budget cycle.
