Becky McCullough, identified in the meeting as the countyHR head and treasurer, said the packet included comparable salary ranges from similar-size counties and explained that the incumbent performs both budget-analyst and grant-coordinator duties.
Committee members repeatedly said they would not make a numeric decision at the meeting and asked for supporting materials. "My recommendation to this body is that we do not make any numerical decisions," the chair said, urging members to request job descriptions and workload details. Members asked for a job description, a list of new grants the coordinator brings to the county, and a benefits-cost breakdown so the committee could judge total fiscal impact rather than salary alone.
Several members expressed interest in understanding how much of the positionis grant-funded and whether new grants were intended to make the position self-funding. Bianca, who presented the grant list, said three grants were recurring while most were newly obtained. Committee members asked staff to provide the detailed breakdown and to return the item after members review the documents and comparison data.
