The purchasing agent informed commissioners that a previously selected vendor could not fulfill the county's order for ballistic windshields for the Parker County Sheriff's Office. The purchase is funded through an Office of the Governor (OOG) grant.
"The vendor did notify us that they are not able to fulfill that order," the purchasing agent said, and staff recommended going out for bid. The county plans to advertise on June 10 and June 17, open bids on July 1, and anticipate an award on July 13, 2026.
Commissioners authorized staff to proceed with the RFP process and to coordinate grant documentation with the grantor once a vendor is selected. The motion to proceed carried unanimously.
