"The vendor is requesting for a price adjustment... regarding a price increase of 25% for aluminum signs and blanks," the purchasing agent said during the briefing. Staff explained the contract allows the vendor to propose an adjustment but the court may decline and seek other purchasing options or cooperative agreements.
Commissioners asked staff to check how long the current contract runs and to compare prices with other cooperative purchasing options before deciding. One commissioner noted that, even with a 25% increase, prices remain below where they were two years earlier. The court took no immediate action on the price change and directed staff to return with comparative pricing and contract-term information at a later meeting.
