Councilmember Cynthia Butterworth told the Council that "Food distribution last Friday had over 70 individuals," and provided updates on SVMPO activity and recent legislation affecting transportation projects. She also reported on selection of a new Sierra Vista SVMPO director.
Other members noted community outreach: Councilmember Danielle Cardella and Councilmember Nallely Arreola will take part in read-aloud events, Mayor Pro Tem Christy Hirshberg announced an Angels Grace cognitive and memory-skills class led by Carrie Pelton, and Debra Trate said she attended an event with Governor Hobbs. Mayor Johann R. Wallace also noted upcoming outreach by state offices and said he planned to read to local students during Read Across America week.
