Commissioners note multiple Center Township road concerns; title search pending for Quaker Road dedication

Presiding Commissioner Joe Wilson and Southern Commissioner John Shorten met with township officials and county road supervisors to inspect roads that may need attention. Center Township Board Member Richard Schuster and Road Foreman Tony Klotz joined the discussion about local conditions.
Center Township Clerk Larry Garton asked the commission to change a sign on Quaker Road from private to public and inquired about dedicating a road to public ownership. "The County has not received a title search from Bowman’s Title yet," Commissioner Joe Wilson said, signaling that the legal step needed before formal dedication remains outstanding. The commission did not set a deadline for receiving the title search during the meeting.
Commissioner John Shorten and Road and Bridge Foreman Mike Reasoner also participated in a field review of roads in Center Township and flagged locations that county crews may need to prioritize for repair.
The commission did not vote on any formal dedication or sign-change action during the session; staff were left with follow-up tasks to secure the title search and coordinate with township trustees on next steps.
