County reports seek state disaster relief; county considers $29,000 media series and veteran-memorial repairs

Engfer said the county had been contacted by a company called 'Empowered' proposing an economic-development and tourism media series that would require approximately $29,000 from county funds. He also reported that tiles are falling from the Veteran’s Memorial wall and that he met with the contractor to arrange repairs.
The board received the report and no formal motions or funding approvals were recorded in the minutes for the Empowered proposal or the memorial repair; staff will proceed with follow-up and public-notice as required.
