Patricia Janes asked the board for permission to use the tractor-pull area at the Porter Fairgrounds for parking during her daughter's wedding on June 6, 2026; the board said they had no objection.
Resident Dahlita Tracy reported that water coming from faucets at her new residence at 300 W. Dixieland Avenue is dirty and rusty and that water pressure measures 40 pounds. Joey Hatfield said the water is coming from a new line. Mayor Steve Dickey said he will have Jackie Todd check on this when he returns from vacation.
The board took no formal action on the water complaint during the meeting beyond directing a staff member to check the issue; the parking request was informally approved by the board on the record.
