Buffalo County supervisors amended and approved a resolution setting total annual compensation for certain elected officials for the 2027 through 2030 terms. County Administrator Lee Engfer reported revised Clerk of Court salary figures: $79,600 in 2027; $82,120 in 2028; $89,321 in 2029; and $92,448 in 2030. The change was described as intended to keep total compensation for Clerk of Court consistent with other elected offices.
Clerk of Court Julie Vollmer told the board she had been informed of the change late in the afternoon and asked that her position remain at the amount previously passed through the Human Resources and Finance Committees; after discussion the board approved the amended figures. A roll-call recorded in the minutes lists 14 named 'yes' votes and the resolution carried.
