During the May 7 meeting Chairman Steve Dickey updated the board on project spending and next steps, saying remaining grant funds for the Water Transmission Line Project will be used to extend the water line from the water towers to 8th Street. "Chairman Steve Dickey said he appreciates all the employees," the minutes record; he also said the Waterline Transmission Project is almost completed.
Dickey also reported that remaining grant funds for the wastewater project will be used to purchase motors at the pump station. Vice Chairman Norma Meyer commented that the board has achieved "a lot of accomplishments for a small town," underscoring the board's view that the projects are progressing and funds are being allocated to concrete, near-term needs.
