Fire Chief Adam Springsted reported that the department responded to 59 calls in the reporting period, including 32 medical calls, 7 motor vehicle accidents, 14 brush fires and one structure fire, and that water usage totaled 14,200 gallons. He presented build specifications for a replacement tanker pumper to supplant the current large tanker.
Mayor Steve Dickey said the tanker purchase could be placed on a special meeting agenda after the fire department approves specifications. Chief Springsted also reported that newly built storm sirens are ready for installation.
