Porter trustees pick wastewater-plant clarifier as town's 2026 CDBG project

Mayor Steve Dickey opened a public hearing April 2 to gather recommendations for the Town of Porter's FY2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application. Darrin Kramer presented information about the CDBG process and trustees discussed continuing upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant.
On motions that passed unanimously, the Board approved Resolution 2026-1 requesting assistance from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, adopted a 2026 Citizen Participation Plan, and "made the motion to rehabilitate the existing wastewater treatment clarifier as the project for the 2026 CDBG application." The Board also authorized Mayor Steve Dickey to execute application documents and assigned Kendra Moore as signatory to the Oklahoma Grants Exchange (OGX).
