Mayor Bradley and staff described capital priorities in the FY2026 proposal. Staff said construction documents for a proposed performing-arts center are included in the budget but noted that the construction work would proceed only if voters approve a bond referendum in November. ‘‘There is money allocated for the construction documents. But again, that would only be activated if the voters approved referendum,’’ the mayor said.
In addition to the performing-arts contingency, the budget includes hardware upgrades for the traffic control center (servers and displays), vehicle replacement funding (about $2.5 million with 14 police vehicles and other replacements planned), and capital allocations tied to the CIP. Staff also listed completion of Fire Station 63, a police south substation, boardwalk work at town center and multiple trail and intersection projects as FY2026 priorities.
