The Vernon County Commission unanimously approved minutes from a series of June meetings (June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25) after motions and seconds were recorded by commissioners during the July 8 session.
Commissioner Cindy Thompson and Commissioner John Shorten moved and seconded various approvals; the commission recorded unanimous votes in favor of each set of minutes. The board also reviewed and signed county invoices and checks as part of routine fiscal business during the meeting.
Separately, the commission denied a request to pay out 100 hours of compensatory time for Charles Ramey-Dias, citing county policy that disallows payout of comp time. The denial was recorded as a formal commission decision.
The meeting was ordered adjourned at 3:32 p.m.; the minutes show the commission scheduled to reconvene on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
