County Administrator announces 2027 budget workshops and Office of the State Comptroller operational audit

County Administrator Jessica Mullins told the Finance Committee the county’s 2027 budget process will include workshops on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 9:00 a.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 9:00 a.m. if needed, and that the public hearing and adoption meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:00 p.m.
Mullins said the NYS budget has passed and that county staff will meet with NYSAC to break down impacts for counties. She also informed the Committee that the Office of the State Comptroller has selected Yates County for an operational audit and that staff will coordinate with the OSC as required. The update was accepted as information.
