Commissioners discussed the Visitor Center vehicle and asked staff to prepare a cost analysis comparing repair with replacement; no vote was taken. Highway Superintendent Jerry Ault reported that CCMG bids will be opened at the first February meeting and awards must be made at the second February meeting to retain funding; contract paving bids for 2026 are scheduled to open in March.
Sheriff Rick Meyer presented the Quarter 4, 2025 jail commissary report and the December 2025 monthly jail report as required by IC 36-8-10-21. Jeff Hubbard in Human Resources announced that the liability insurance company requested that a commissioner be present at a forthcoming meeting. Auditor Melissa Gray distributed the December 2025 Treasurer's Report. County Attorney Susan Bevers updated the board on the ordinance codification and digitization project. Commissioner Drew Storey moved to adjourn and the board recessed until Feb. 3, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
