Probation Director Tyrone Thomas told the committee he is working on a STRIVE II grant and implementing a STRIVE probation model; the department recorded 40 ordered investigations in January. Thomas said staff are evaluating a free upgrade to their Caseload Explorer system and will seek authorization next month if appropriate.
The committee approved Resolution 2-26-JP-3, authorizing an agreement between the Cayuga County Probation Department and SuperCom for electronic home monitoring services, and Resolution 2-26-JP-4, authorizing the filling of one Probation Officer II position. Both motions were recorded as carried unanimously.
