The Cayuga County Judicial & Public Safety Committee voted to authorize a contract with Motorola Solutions to upgrade the county's Next Generation 911 telephone system (Resolution 2-26-JP-1). Members also approved an agreement with Interaction Insight Corp. for the purchase of a new Eventide backup recorder and related QA/AI services for the backup 911 center (Resolution 2-26-JP-2). Motions on both resolutions carried unanimously.
Denise Spingler told the committee that antenna issues are being addressed and that a vendor will come on site once weather permits; staff are also reviewing backup-center design with Beardsley and soliciting bids for UPS units for Auburn and the Osborne tower site. Those infrastructure steps accompany the vendor contracts approved by the committee.
