Tonasket School Board approves Highly Capable Plan and asset report; consent agenda passes unanimously

The Tonasket School District Board of Directors approved two formal items and a routine consent agenda during its Jan. 28, 2026 meeting in the boardroom. Sharron Cox moved to approve the Highly Capable Plan 2026/27 and the Asset Preservation Program Report; both motions passed with unanimous votes. Earlier in the meeting Ernesto Cerrillo moved to approve the consent agenda "as presented," and that motion also passed unanimously.
The meeting record shows the board entered executive session at 7:40 p.m. "to review the performance of a public employee" and returned to open session at 7:55 p.m.; no public action was recorded from the closed session. The minutes also note that the Jan. 28, 2026 minutes (two pages) were approved at the Feb. 25, 2026 board meeting.
