Tonasket School Board approves consent agenda and several policy updates unanimously
Summary
The Tonasket School Board unanimously approved the meeting consent agenda and adopted eight district policies on second reading; a separate policy (2415) completed its first reading and will proceed to a second reading.
The Tonasket School District Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve the consent agenda at its Nov. 26, 2024 meeting. Board member Ernesto Cerrillo moved to approve the consent agenda “as presented.” The motion passed with a unanimous vote of members present: Chair Joyce Fancher, Ernesto Cerrillo and Rac'qel Plank.
At the same meeting the board completed second and final readings and approved Policies 2410, 3205, 3241, 3246, 3432, 4130, 5011 and 6220. Ernesto Cerrillo moved to approve the eight policies on their second reading; the motion passed unanimously. The board also held a first reading of Policy 2415 and agreed to move it to a second reading at a future meeting.
The actions recorded in the meeting minutes list the approvals without recorded dissent. The minutes note the board convened at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:42 p.m.; the minutes of Nov. 26 were later approved at the Dec. 20, 2024 meeting.
