At their April 20 meeting the Jerome County Board of Commissioners recorded the following approvals and votes:
- Resolution 2026‑18: Adopted language for Chapter 10 in the comprehensive plan (motion by Crouch; unanimous). - Legislative actions to amend JCZO Chapters 7 and 11 and Ordinance 2026‑03 (Chapter 7 amendments) and Ordinance 2026‑04 (add Chapter 11 on energy facilities): All adopted unanimously. - Resolution 2026‑17: Approved Idaho Airport Aid matching grant in the amount of $19,210.00 (unanimous). - Tax cancellation: Approved correction of $3,701.59 for parcel RPJ10100030130 due to incorrect occupancy entry (unanimous). - IT policy: Accepted YubiKey issuance policy for multi‑factor authentication (unanimous). - Administrative approvals: Claims, indigent matters, employee PTO payout requests and minutes were approved as presented (all unanimous motions recorded).
One contested vote: the appointment of Gary Taylor as sheriff passed by majority with Commissioner Watkins recorded as voting against. All other recorded motions passed unanimously according to the meeting minutes.
