Deputy Matt West stresses local ties, transparency and public review of Flock cameras

On PTO and staff burnout he said he instructs employees to take time off to avoid long-term fatigue but would consider staffing realities when approving leave.
West described his leadership approach as collaborative and said he would work with deputies, elected officials and the public to stabilize the office. The Board did not make an appointment on April 16 and will continue deliberations Monday; if a selection is made the swearing-in is expected Tuesday.
