County staff says Sawyer gas-line grant cannot be returned until utility is connected

Morgan said "funds cannot be returned until the utility line is fully connected and operational" and that the City of Sawyer asked for assistance regarding federal audit requirements tied to accepting federal grant funds.
Morgan said she will continue working with the Kansas Corporation Commission to ensure the project satisfies federal audit requirements, and staff will follow up when the utility is connected or when additional documentation is available.
