Committee approves allowing compensation for Shoreline Behavioral Health Services board

Jesse Marlow, Shoreline's executive director, told the committee, "If approved, our board has made a recommendation of 75 per meeting for the regular members and a $100 for the chair, if that's possible, and then mileage as well."
County staff reported the code currently specifies that Shoreline board members "serve without compensation," and recommended striking that clause while leaving other board service requirements intact. Committee members discussed expanding mileage or meeting allowances for other boards and directed staff and the county attorney to craft uniform language; the committee voted to approve the change for Shoreline by voice vote.
