Staff explained the sign-up is done online through the ROD website, requires exact name matches (users may register multiple name variations), and currently notifies subscribers the same day records are posted (the presenter said notifications typically go out that night). County staff acknowledged visibility issues on some smartphones during the soft launch but reported more than 200 sign-ups and only one test alert sent so far. Officials said the service is intended to give property owners earlier notice so they can take legal or administrative steps if an unauthorized recording appears.
