The board voted unanimously to increase the annual boot allowance for full- and part-time roadmasters to $225 (up from $200 in 2025). Board members and residents noted that some employees pay more than $200 for durable work boots.
Separately, the board approved the standard business mileage reimbursement rate for 2026 at 72.5 cents per mile (an increase of 2.5 cents from 2025) per PSATS guidance. The chair reminded a participant who frequently uses a personal truck that he is entitled to claim mileage reimbursement.
