The Salem Township Planning Commission reorganized its leadership at its annual meeting on Jan. 7, 2026, electing Connie Mattei as chair, Paul Holleran as vice-chair and Kelly Otto as secretary. The reorganization motions passed unanimously, with John Wright, Paul Holleran and Connie Mattei recorded as voting in favor of each nomination.
Mattei thanked the board after her election, saying she "appreciated being able to serve and would certainly serve again." The nominations were moved and seconded according to standard procedure: Paul Holleran nominated Mattei for chair, John Wright seconded; Connie Mattei nominated Holleran for vice-chair, and John Wright seconded the nomination for Kelly Otto as secretary. All three organizational motions passed with full support from the three-member commission present.
The seating and formal officer appointments are procedural steps the commission takes each January to authorize who will preside over meetings and sign plan certifications or recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. With the officers in place, the Commission moved to consider business on its published agenda.
