The wage vote occurred amid extended discussion about road-paving procurement and contractor performance. Kerry explained that Tresco initially held material requirements after winning COG bids, prompting a rebid that produced three responses: Tresco at $152,000 and Hiles Construction and Redstone tied at $102,000. Redstone was awarded the job in August but "never did the work even after several phone calls and e-mails," the minutes state, leaving the Forbes Road project on hold into the next year. The wage motion passed with Rebitch and Cornell voting yes and Leitza voting no.
