Board updates Auditor/Treasurer fee schedule to align with neighboring counties

Chuck Schrader presented Auditor/Treasurer business and the board approved updates to county fee schedules to better align certain fees with surrounding counties and reflect current administrative costs. Changes include TIF district set-up ($0 to $250), individual assessment lien release ($46 to $56), tax lien recording/release ($46 to $56), delinquent publication per parcel ($20 to $25), repurchase/forfeit property per parcel ($120 to $250), and increases to plat book and duplicate statement fees.
The board carried the motion unanimously and recessed the regular meeting to go into the Drainage meeting. The fee adjustments are administrative actions intended to recover processing costs and bring Faribault County fees closer to regional norms.
