Several administrative updates were reported at the Feb. 3 Jackson County commissioners meeting. Jeff Hubbard in human resources said the Veteran Service Officer position will move from part-time to full-time following County Council approval; the job description was provided for informational purposes. Auditor Melissa Gray said the January 2026 fund report has not yet been finalized.
County Attorney Susan Bevers reported ongoing efforts to obtain proposals for ordinance codification and digitization; vendor communication had been challenging, and a second proposal was expected after a scheduled call. Commissioner Drew Markel moved to adjourn; the board recessed and set the next meeting for Feb. 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
