County sets March 17 hearing for Judicial Ditch #1 Branch 4 repair

The Faribault County Drainage Authority voted Feb. 3 to set a public hearing on the staff repair report for Judicial Ditch #1 Branch 4 for 11:15 a.m. on March 17, 2026 in the Faribault County Courthouse Board Room in Blue Earth. The board ordered that the county auditor mail notice to petitioners, owners of property, and affected political subdivisions at least 10 days before the hearing, in keeping with Minn. Stat. § 103E.715.
The order was adopted by recorded motion (Loveall/Paschke) and listed as unanimous. The minutes reference prior inspections and televising in late 2024 that found the branch in disrepair and note informational meetings held for affected landowners in 2025 and January 2026.
