Jackson County commissioners opened and recorded five bids for the 2026 County Community Maintenance and Grant (CCMG) paving application at their Feb. 3 meeting. Highway Superintendent Jerry Ault presented the bids; Dave O'Mara submitted the lowest bid at $1,167,878.50.
Other bids listed were All Star Paving ($1,242,543.50), Libs Paving ($1,396,368.70), Milestone Paving ($1,571,829.25) and DC Construction Services ($1,886,970.25). Commissioners voted to take all bids under advisement; the motion to do so was made by Commissioner Drew Storey and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Stauffer, and it carried with three yes votes. The board did not award a contract at the meeting.
