The Cayuga County Civil Service Commission voted on Feb. 10, 2026 to adopt proposed revisions to its rules and appendices and to forward the signed resolutions and justifications to the New York State Civil Service Commission. The motion was made by Chairman Bruce D. Sherman, seconded by Commissioner Ryan M. Foley, and recorded as approved "all in favor, none opposed."
Chairman Sherman signed the resolutions along with Commissioners Foley and Adams and directed staff to transmit the documents to the state civil service authority. The action completes the county's formal step of submitting rule changes for state review.
