Resident asks Steuben County to impose moratorium on 'slug' spreading after contamination claims

She thanked the body for passing a recent pay increase for county‑jail staff and said that many county residents support the existing agreements with federal agencies, which she framed as helping keep communities safe.
No formal moratorium was introduced during the meeting and staff did not provide a response on the record; Turner asked the legislature to use the public‑comment record to inform future agenda items.
